The new interim cabinet of 3 ministers was appointed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka today. The current cabinet consists of 15 ministries and has been divided among the three ministers. Accordingly, President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka heads:
- Ministry of Defence
- Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, Policy Formulation, Planning and Tourism
- Ministry of Energy
- Ministry of Agriculture, Land, Livestock, Irrigation, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources
Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya heads the Ministries of:
- Justice, Public Administration, Provincial Councils, Local Government and Labour
- Education, Science and Technology
- Women, Child and Youth Affairs and Sports
- Trade, Commercial, Food Security, Co-operative Development, Industries and Entrepreneur Development
- Health
NPP MP Vijitha Herath was appointed as the minister of:
- Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, National Integration, Social Security and Mass Media
- Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation
- Public Security
- Foreign Affairs
- Environment, Wildlife, Forest Resources, Water Supply, Plantation and Community, Infrastructure
